Wish of the Month

15 year old Tonyanna Shaw is being treated at Children’s Hospital for Juvenile Dermatomysitis (JDMS) an auto immune disease which weakens the muscle. Her wish was to visit Disney in Orlando with her family. She lives in Avondale and loves her little dog. Dad, Antonio and mother, Angenette have been by her side throughout the ordeal and are excited to travel with Tonyanna on their first flight ever. She was joined by her 23 year old sister Dorika, 21 year old Tonika and brothers, Latonio (19) and Torae age 6. Because she needs a battery powered wheelchair to get around, the wonderful people at Limousine Livery in New Orleans, provided a brand new handicapped custom designed van to whisk them away to the airport.

And when they return on Friday the 1st of August, they will be there to drive them back home. The family will be guest of Give Kid’s the World (www.gktw.org) in Kissimmee, Florida. A wonderful village created to handle wish organizations from around the world who wish to visit Disney.
