Mary Kate’s Wish – Travel to Maui with her Family

Mary Kate was 15 years old when A Child’s Wish first approved her for a wish in the summer of 2012.  We learned from her doctor, Victoria Dimitriades at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, that Mary Kate would need extended treatment at the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Baltimore.  Mary Kate’s wish was to travel to Maui with her family including mom Mary, dad Daniel, and brothers John Luke and William.  The treatment at NIH was not complete until late summer in 2013 and the doctors did not approve travel for several more months.  In January 2014, Mary Kate and her family flew to Maui and stayed at the Grand Wailea Hotel for a week of sun, surfing, snorkeling, a luau,  and paddle boarding.  Here are some pictures of Mary Kate and her family enjoying her wish trip to Maui.
